Hiring a superintendent for a major excavation company based in New Haven County. This firm is recognized as the premier provider of commercial services and residential site development, concrete foundation construction, and demolition. A company vehicle will be provided.

Description:

• Position requires experience and ability to read and evaluate typical construction schedules.
• Applicant will need to be capable of foreseeing schedule and/or personnel conflicts and evaluate all options and implement solutions while considering relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
• The applicant will be required to motivate, develop, and direct personnel as they work, and identify the best people for particular tasks.
• Strong organizational skills will be required to coordinate, supervise, manage personnel and equipment to accomplish tasks and maintain schedules.
• Full completion of daily project activity reports will be required.
• Scheduling the delivery, monitoring and controlling related materials will be required.
• It will be required that the applicant develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time.
• Applicant will be required to provide relevant information to all supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates.

Must Haves:

1. 7 years working as Superintendent.

2. Knowledge of materials, methods, and the equipment involved in the excavation and construction of highways, roads, infrastructure, concrete foundations etc.

3. Experience managing sub-contractors and delivery scheduling.
